Pennsylvania Co-Operative Potato Growers, Inc. will participate in the 109th Annual Pennsylvania Farm Show

The Pennsylvania Co-Operative Potato Growers, Inc. (PCPG) has announced that it will be a participant in the 109th annual Pennsylvania Farm Show, scheduled for January 4-11 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, PA.

“We look forward to the 109th Annual Farm Show, where we are excited to be offering fresh potato donuts in the Main Hall next to the Butter Sculpture this year,” says PCPG chief executive officer Nathan Tallman. “Our staff comes in each morning at 4:30am to make sure the donuts are fresh each day. We offer three flavors – powdered, plain and cinnamon sugar. There will also be a new offering this year, loaded fresh-cut French fries with cheese, bacon and ranch.”

Located in Harrisburg, PA, the PCPG is a non-profit organization serving as a vital link between the state’s potato growers and buyers. The group has been directly benefiting members across the state since its inception in 1922. The PCPG seeks to increase the state’s potato growers’ abilities to market their potatoes, ensure a high-quality potato product, organize reliable delivery and provide its members with access to a widespread network of key buyers and sellers to help them market and purchase high-quality potatoes.

Every year, the Pennsylvania Farm Show, Pennsylvania’s State Fair™, brings a half million visitors to the capital city for eight days of competition and family fun with an educational twist.

The 2025 Show will feature favorites like the 1,000-pound butter sculpture, the delicious Farm Show Food Court, thousands of competitive agricultural events, homegrown cooking demos and more than 1,000,000-square feet of hands-on agricultural educational opportunities and chances to engage with people who power Pennsylvania through agriculture.

Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding announced the 2025 Farm Show theme, Powering Pennsylvania. “We hope you’ll join us in January to kick off your 2025 with people who power our families with nutritious food every day. Thousands of farm families join them in powering our economy, supporting 593,000 jobs and pouring more than $132.5 billion into our communities every year,” says Secretary Redding.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s bi-partisan 2024-2025 budget also invests in Pennsylvania’s national legacy as a leader in agriculture. The Governor’s new Economic Development Strategy recognizes agriculture as one of the keys to the state’s economic success.
