Pennsylvania Farm Show Potato Donuts Adds New Location at Shady Maple Farm Market during 2021 Virtual Event
As part of the virtual 105th Pennsylvania Farm Show, PA Preferred ® Food Court fans in the southeast region can enjoy fresh PA Farm Show potato donuts at the Shady Maple Farm Market
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – The Pennsylvania Co-Operative of Potato Growers announced today that customers will be able to purchase fresh potato donuts at an additional location – the Shady Maple Farm Market in the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania – during the week of the 105th Pennsylvania Farm Show
Earlier this week, the Cooperative announced that the Pennsylvania Farm Show potato donuts will also be available at GIANT and Karns Foods stores in the Harrisburg area, beginning Friday, January 8 – while supplies last
“Besides their deliciousness, they embody the best of our local farmers from across the commonwealth growing safe, nutritious potatoes with local flavor.”
A limited supply of Pennsylvania Farm Show powdered sugar potato donuts will be available for purchase in the farm market beginning Friday, January 8.
“Shady Maple Farm Market is proud and excited to be the only store in Lancaster County to offer the famed potato donuts from the Pennsylvania Farm Show,” said Lin Weaver, Owner of Shady Maple Farm Market. “It is a great opportunity to be able to partner with the Pennsylvania Co-Operative Potato Growers.”
This year’s show will take place through a virtual format due to the ongoing efforts to mitigate the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and keeping public health a top priority.
“The work the Pennsylvania Co-Operative Potato Growers have done to make Farm Show potato donuts a reality during such a non-traditional year is proof that innovation is alive and well in Pennsylvania’s agriculture industry,” said Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. “Providing Pennsylvanians an opportunity to taste this traditional Farm Show treat will offer comfort to many this January. The food court is one of the most talked about and relatable parts of the annual show. It represents everything growers, producers, and culinary experts work toward: putting the best possible food on your plate.”
Each year, attendees near and far would visit the PA Preferred® Food Court and the Food Court Annex in the Main Expo Hall of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center to enjoy fresh, hot potato donuts at the Pennsylvania Co-Operative Potato Growers’ booths during the eight-day Pennsylvania Farm Show.
The Pennsylvania Farm Show runs January 9-16, 2021 and will take place virtually.
Visitors are asked to check the Farm’s website at https://grimsorchard.com for the latest announcements – including all Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines in place by local, state, and federal officials.
